From 1988 till 1996 he studied at Choire School for boys in Perm. In 2000 Alexander graduated from Perm Musical College with distinction Major in Choral Conducting. In 2005 he graduated from State Conservatory named after M.Glinka in Nizhniy Novgorod.
In 2015 baritone improved vocal skill with professor Vladimir Chernov (Baritone, USA), took part in the Summer program for opera singers in Austria (Payerbach) and masterclasses from the famous theatrical director of Tito Capobianco and the Austrian pianist of Matthias Lademann (Vienna).
In May 2015 baritone won Cultural Grant Recipient for Young Musicians for 2016 from Government of the Russian Federation.
His repertoire includes opera arias and scenes, classical romances of M.Glinka, P.Tchaikovsky ("When I opened my window"), S.Rachmaninov, M.Musorgsky, G.Sviridov, F.Schubert, R.Schuman, J.Brahms, M.Ravel, W.Stenhammar. Neapolitan and Spanish songs.
Alexander Sukhanov took part in different Russian Festivals and Days of Russian culture in France, Check Republic, Latvia. He also sang at Yuri Bashmet Festival in Yaroslavl (Russia) in "Die Fledermaus" J.Strauss with Peter Edelmann, Alexandra Reinprecht, conductor Johannes Wildner.

Alexander Sukhanov had successful tours in the best halls of Moscow, St.Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Nizhniy Novgorod; successfully toured abroad in England, Spain, China. Since February 2008 baritone has been the soloist of Yaroslavl State Philharmonic Society. Nowadays the singer takes part in different performances and gives sole concerts.
