Alexander Sukhanov is a famous Russian singer, winner of international vocal competitions. He graduated from the vocal faculty of the Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatory named after M.Glinka. He perfected his vocal skills in Italy, France and Austria.

The singer is active in concert activities in Russia and abroad. He performs in the best halls of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod. He has toured in Austria, Great Britain, Spain, Italy, China, Latvia, Romania, Switzerland, Sweden, France, Czech Republic and other countries.

The singer collaborates with the Svetlanov State Orchestra of Russia, the Yurlov State Academic Choral Chapel of Russia, the Moscow Philharmonic Academic Symphony Orchestra, the New Russia State Symphony Orchestra, with many regional collectives, with the Irina Arkhipova Foundation, the Arno Babajanyan Memorial Foundation. He has working with conductors – Yuri Simonov, Vladimir Ponkin, Dmitry Yurovsky, Felix Korobov, Alexey Bogorad, Pavel Smelkov, Johannes Wildner, Oliver von Dohnányi, Nader Abbassi.

The singer's repertoire includes over 500 vocal compositions of various genres, including roles in the operas "Eugene Onegin", "The Queen of Spades" and "Iolanta" by Tchaikovsky, "The Demon" by Rubinstein, "Kashchey the Immortal" by Rimsky-Korsakov, "La Traviata", "Il Trovatore" by Verdi, "Carmen" by Bizet, "Tsar Kandavl" by Tsemlinsky, in the operetta "Die Fledermaus" by Strauss; cantata and oratorio works by Tchaikovsky (Moscow), Rachmaninov (Spring, Bells), Bach (cantata "Ich Habe genug", BWV 82), Rossini (Petite Messe Solennelle), Brahms (German Requiem), Karl Orff (Carmina Burana), Shostakovich (Suite on Verses of Michelangelo Buonarroti), Lokshin (Symphony No. 5 Shakespeare's Sonnets) and vocal miniatures of Russian and European composers, Neapolitan and Spanish songs.

Alexander Sukhanov had successful tours in the best halls of Moscow, St.Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, Nizhniy Novgorod; successfully toured abroad in England, Spain, China. Since February 2008 baritone has been the soloist of Yaroslavl State Philharmonic Society. Nowadays the singer takes part in different performances and gives sole concerts.
